AAP slams govt for ‘anti-people’ policies

Ludhiana: Zone coordinator Col C M Lakhanpal slammed the Badal government for pursuing anti-people policies and making rampant corruption during last nine years and claimed that now the people of Punjab were waiting to teach them a lesson in the 2017 assembly elections.

Col Lakhanpal was addressing a function after inaugurating AAP office in Upkar Nagar. He said that during the last 68 years, Congress and SAD-BJP had been exploiting the sentiments of the people in the name of religion and caste, but in reality did nothing to uplift the economic condition of the poor people in the state. He added that SAD-BJP government had always claimed to put every possible effort for the welfare of the farmers but the indebted were forced to commit suicides just because of their policies. He informed that the party offices are being established in all constituencies of Ludhiana Zone with a view to further broaden the base of the party.

Washington : The Indian-American community in the US has urged the Trump administration to “fully support” India’s decision to revoke the constitutional provision that accorded special status to Jammu and Kashmir and to continue to exert pressure on Pakistan to end its support to cross-border terrorism.
