Several Cong leaders seek Jagmeet Brar’s expulsion from party

Chandigarh : Several senior Congress leaders and legislators have sought the expulsion of Jagmeet Singh Brar for gross indiscipline and rebellious activities which have been harming the party’s interest in the state.

In an appeal to the party high command, the leaders said that Brar had embarked upon a dangerous and destructive path to sabotage the party’s ongoing campaign in the state. “Jagmeet Brar must be expelled at the earliest,” the party leaders demanded.

The leaders who signed the appeal to the high command for Brar’s expulsion, include Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Laal Singh, Ashwani Sekhri, Kuljit Nagra, Raja Warring, Brahm Mohindra, Preneet Kaur, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Jagmohan Singh Kang, Sukhjinder Randhawa, Rana Gurjeet Singh, Kewal Dhillon, Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, Rakesh Pandey, Navtej Cheema, Sukh Sarkaria, Om Prakash Soni, Ajit Inder Singh Mofar, Dr Raj Kumar Verka, Balbir Sidhu, Parminder Sigh Pinky, Hardayal Kambhoj, Ajaib Singh Bhatti, Joginder Panjgrain, Karan Kaur Brar, Aruna Chaudhary, Gur Iqbal Kaur, Sunder Shyam Arora, Rajneesh Babbi, Sangat Singh Gilzian, Bibi Harchand Kaur, Mohammad Sadiq, Gurkirat Kotli, Gurcharan Singh Boparai and Amrik Singh Dhillon.

“The sooner he is expelled from the party, the better it will be,” the leaders said in an appeal to the party high command. They expressed surprise as how such a leader could be tolerated in the party when he was indulging in open defiance with obvious intent to undermine the party’s interests and prospects in the state.

“Not that he holds any influence or carries any weight, but he is only playing into the hands of the opposition parties to undermine the Congress interests,” they said.
