Congress leaders, workers hail Brar’s expulsion; term it ‘good riddance’

Chandigarh : Senior Congress leaders and party workers on Monday welcomed the expulsion of Jagmeet Singh Brar from the Congress, saying it was a good riddance for the party as he was trying to damage the party from within.
“There was a unanimous opinion and demand from the entire rank and file of the party across the state that Brar must be expelled,” the leaders said, adding, “not only has the party high command taken the right decision, at the same time it has also conveyed the right message to the workers that their opinion counts in the party matters.”
The leaders pointed out, Brar was given all the respect by the party and its leadership. “So much so, Capt Amarinder acknowledged that he (Brar) should have been given time to speak at the Badlaav Rally in Bathinda and regretted the omission and also gave him all the respect and importance afterwards,” they pointed out, while regretting, “but Brar continued with his suicidal mission little realising that the Congress was too big and too great a party to be harmed by people with suicidal tendencies.”
The leaders who welcomed the expulsion and thanked the party high command, included Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Laal Singh, Ashwani Sekhri, Kuljit Nagra, Raja Warring, Brahm Mohindra, Preneet Kaur, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Jagmohan Singh Kang, Sukhjinder Randhawa, Rana Gurjeet Singh, Kewal Dhillon, Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, Rakesh Pandey, Navtej Cheema, Sukh Sarkaria, Om Prakash Soni, Ajit Inder Singh Mofar, Dr Raj Kumar Verka, Balbir Sidhu, Parminder Sigh Pinky, Hardayal Kambhoj, Ajaib Singh Bhatti, Joginder Panjgrain and Karan Kaur Brar.
