Patiala : The last session of PPCC chief Capt Amarinder Singh’s programme “Coffee with Captain” will be held at Yadavindra Public School here tomorrow.
Around 36-member strong team of party’s poll strategist Prashant Kishor is working to make the event a success and ensure that “Amarinder is able to strike the right chord with the youth from the district”.
Party sources said while around 1,000 youngsters from various colleges and universities had been shortlisted for the event “irrespective of the party affiliations,” only a few Congress leaders were likely to turn up.
“The invitation is open for all to come and attend the event, but no special invites are being sent to any leader. Primarily, it is Amarinder’s personal interaction with the youth, but we expect the local leaders to turn up,” said a member of the Kishor’s team camping in Patiala.
A Congress MLA said he was aware of the function and would love to be a part of it, but he had not been invited. “However, in my view it is better if Amarinder interacts with the youth alone,” he stated.
