Chandigarh : Former chief minister and Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday asked Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal to announce the name of his party’s CM candidate for the forthcoming assemble elections to be held in the state next year. Captain were quite ironical in his tweets on Monday, asking Kejriwal to mind his own business. “Mr Kejriwal, Congress can take care of itself. You please focus on AAP affairs and announce CM candidate for Punjab.” Captain, just before leaving for his offshore trip, chose Twitter to take on Kejriwal.
Arvind Kejriwal, who is one of the most active twitter users in the country, hasn’t responded to Captain’s tweet yet, but he shared a news of a vernacular in which the AAP allegedly exposed the nexus between the Congress poll strategist Prashant Kishore and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal claiming that the former was instrumental in fixing a meeting of PPCC chief Captain Amarinder Singh with senior SAD leaders.
SAD TOO TAKES ON AAP GOVERNMENT
Chandigarh: The Shiromani Akali Dal on Monday asked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to apologise to the people of Delhi for misleading them that the AAP just had made massive savings in buildings and bridges whereas the actual cost of elevated road from Mangolpuri to Madhuban Chowk and another from Madhuban Chowk to Mukarba Chowk increased by Rs 30 Crore during the AAP rule. Deputy Chief Minister’s Advisor Manjinder Singh Sirsa said in a statement that Kejriwal led government played a quick game through advertisements to camouflage its Rs 30 crore scandal besides taking the credit of ‘saving the government money.’
Giving a brief account of trick played by Delhi AAP government, Sirsa stated that it was the team of honest PWD officials and engineers whose tireless efforts, planning and innovations in 2013 have reduced the cost of construction for various projects, but on other hand the project cost of two projects completed during the AAP regime mysteriously increased by Rs 30 Crore. “The actual cost of elevated road between Prembari Pul and Azadpur was Rs 145 crore against tender amount of Rs 182 crore, whereas the actual expenditure over elevated road from Mangolpuri to Madhuban Chowk and another from Madhuban Chowk to Mukarba Chowk rose to Rs 600 crore against tender cost of Rs 570 crore,” he added.
