CHANDIGARH: Punjab Congress president Capt Amarinder Singh on Friday ridiculed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for pasting posters across the state claiming that it was going to win 100 seats in the state elections of 2017. “Leave aside winning 100 constituencies, you can’t even pronounce the names of five seats properly,” he told AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal.
“Better start learning the names before starting to count these seats in your kitty,” Amarinder taunted Kejriwal further, referring to his “contrasting and contradictory alien origins” and “chief ministerial ambitions about Punjab”.
Accusing the AAP of defacing buildings and walls by pasting these posters, Captain reminded Kejriwal that it wasn’t allowed even during elections. “They are also polluting the democratic landscape by spreading lies,” he added.
