JALANDHAR: Congress leaders on Saturday claimed that the visit of state Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh to the United States was a hit among the Indian diaspora, especially the Punjabis, due to the SAD and AAP tried to play “dirty” politics on the visit.

Commenting on the success of the trip, senior congress leader Hans Raj Hans said that the NRI’s have assured Captain for their full support in the coming Vidhan Sabha elections. The meeting held there were very successful and the Punjabi population participated with full attendance. PPCC President addressed the gathering and told them about the vision of the congress party which we intend to take to the people of Punjab. Unemployment, drugs, female feticide, financial indebtedness were the key foremost issues which were discussed in these meetings.

Hans also alleged that fearing the success of the tour of the PPCC president now AAP and SAD had started posting some forged content on the social media, just to show their own frustration. The popularity of the PPCC chief posed a big threat to both AAP and SAD that’s why they deliberately chose SFJ to act against the movement of the PPCC president.
