CHANDIGARH: The revamped state executive of the Punjab Congress has 36 vice-presidents to ensure all Amarinder loyalists — MLAs Tripat Rajinder Bajwa, Sukhbinder Sarkaria, Rana Gurjit Singh, Rana Gurmeet Sodhi, Kewal Dhillon and Sukhjinder Randhawa — besides senior MLAs Brahm Mohindra, Randeep Nabha and Raj Kumar Verka get berths. He has also rewarded “newcomers” like Deepinder Dhillion with the post of party general secretary.

DALIT CARD

The new PPCC also tries to balance the caste combination as over two-dozen Dalit leaders have been appointed as vicepresidents and general secretaries, besides senior leaders being on list of special and permanent invitees and not-soimportant executive committee.

15 WOMEN ON THE LIST

The Congress list has 15 women as Amarinder wants to field more women in elections.

The only prominent officebearers are former MP Santosh Chaudhary and former MLA Razia Sultana, who have been made vice-presidents and Nimisha Mehta has been retained as party spokesperson. There are five women general secretaries and the remaining are permanent or special invitees.

There are no major changes in the list of district Congress presidents barring a few, while decision on two have been kept pending.
