Major Amardeep, Karanpal Singh Sekhon appointed OSDs

Chandigarh: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Captain Amarinder Singh has re-appointed Major Amardeep Singh and Karanpal Singh Sekhon as Officer on Special Duty (OSD).

Both Major Amardeep Singh and Karanpal Singh were loyalists of Captain Amarinder and attached with him for the last fifteen years. Major Amardeep Singh was known to Captain Amarinder since his Army days. Major Amardeep was the part of same battalion- 2nd Sikh Regiment, which Captain Amarinder Singh has also served during his service. Later, Major Amardeep Singh was elected as Chairman of Zila Parishad, Gurdaspur. In 2003, the-then Chief Minister Captain Amarinder had appointed Major Amardeep Singh as his OSD for the first time.

Washington : The Indian-American community in the US has urged the Trump administration to “fully support” India’s decision to revoke the constitutional provision that accorded special status to Jammu and Kashmir and to continue to exert pressure on Pakistan to end its support to cross-border terrorism.
