AMRITSAR: A day after Punjab revenue minister Bikram Majithia filed a defamation case against Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal and two other party leaders, Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann attacked the Akali leader on the drug issue again and dared him to file a suit against him too.’

Addressing mediapersons here on Saturday, he said, “I fail to understand why he (Majithia) does not file a defamation case against me. During my entire Lok Sabha campaign, I targeted him on the drug issue. I challenge Majithia to file a case against me. I will give proof of what I say.”

He said Majithia filing defamation cases showed his frustration. Mann said Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh or Ashish Khetan attack Majithia only when they are in Punjab, “but we (AAP leaders in Punjab) do it every day; so why he does not file cases against us”.

‘WILL FULFIL HIS WISH’

Hitting back, Sarchand Singh, media advisor to revenue minister Majithia, said, “We will soon fulfil Bhagwant Mann’s wish and file a case against him. If Mann has any proof, he should give them in court instead of making wild allegations.”

MAJITHIAWANTS DAY-TO-DAY HEARING

CHANDIGARH: Revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Saturday said he would want a day-to-day hearing in the defamation case filed by him against AAP convenor and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and other party leaders so the process to put them behind bars could be initiated. HISAR: Upset over not getting work, two teenager cousin brothers from Punjab reportedly committed suicide by jumping before a train near Satrod of Hisar district on Friday night.

The deceased have been identified as Nand Lal (18) and Raman (17), both residents of Haripura village in Fazilka district of Punjab. The Government Railway Police (GRP) took the custody of the bodies and sent them for autopsy to local general hospital, Hisar.

Nand Lal’s father Ramrakh Singh said, "Both Nand Lal and Raman went missing two days back. When we called them, they told us that they are in Hisar and searching for a job as labourers."

Singh said on Friday night they got a call from the railway police, informing them that the cousins jumped before a train and died on the spot.

The GRP officials said the driver of Gorakhdham Express told them that he saw the youths jumped before the train.
