Ludhiana : In reply to the Congress protest against law and order situation, the Youth Akali Dal activists on Saturday protested against Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu in a different style. The YAD activists presented spectacles to Bittu and wanted him to see the development done in the state by SAD- BJP government.
Playing smart, Bittu greeted the protestors with roses and offered them lassi treat. Bittu refused to accept the specs by citing the reason that Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has brought the same from China and it is ‘defected’ piece. The situation also turned tenses when the YAD activists and Congressmen raised slogans against each other. The police intervened and averted the scuffle.
The YAD activists had gathered near South city this morning, to reach the house of Bittu at Janpath Estates but the police did not allow the protestors due to security reasons. Later, the protestors headed towards the office of Bittu at Mini secretariat complex. While on the way the YAD leaders also entered in scuffle with each other but the situation was brought under control following the intervention of senior leaders.
Accompanied by Gurdeep Gosha, Gurpreet Babbal, Manpreet Chatwal and others YAD Malwa Zone President Tarsem Singh Bhinder said that they have presented specs to Bittu and asked him to see the development projects done by SAD- BJP government in Punjab. Bittu and Congressmen were protesting against the government to show their presence only.
As the protestors reached MP office, Bittu was already waiting for YAD activists and presented them roses and lassi treat. Later, Bittu accepted big size box containing specs. Taking dig on YAD activists, Bittu said he is ready to wear this specs if this will show culprits of sacrileges incidents, killers of Mata Chand Kaur, attackers of Dhadrianwale, solution for the protestors demanding their rights across the state. The common people can see the development without specs and it was the drama of YAD activists, said Bittu.
