Amarinder builds youth army for 2017 campaign

1200 youth from across the 22 districts of Punjab attended the event.

Jalandhar : In yet another initiative of youth connect, as many as 65 youth from Jalandhar district have joined Punjab Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh’s campaign as his youth army of College and City captains for Punjab Assembly polls 2017.

The young brigade met Captain Amarinder at Chandigarh on Sunday and pledged support to Captain and his vision for Punjab. At the event organised by Prashant Kishor’s team I-PAC (Indian Political Action Committee), this army of youngsters, popularly called as college and city captains of their district, discussed ideas on how they could participate and contribute to Captain Amarinder Singh’s campaign for Punjab assembly polls 2017. During the 3 hour event, the 1200 plus Captains underwent a training module on the various outreach mechanism for Captain Amarinder Singh. The training was conducted by I-PAC’s outreach and digital media team. That apart, issues concerning youth were discussed and Amarinder Singh’s advice was sought.

More than 65 college captains from Jalandhar were part of the event. Certificates of appreciation were distributed to all. Students wore T-shirts with the logo Punjab Da Captain and pledged their support to the Punjab Congress chief.
