Patiala : Preneet Kaur, Patiala Urban (1) MLA and former MP, on Tuesday lambasted the ruling SAD-led state government by saying that the Akalis had badly failed on the development front and were trying to befool the people of the state.

She made such remarks while interacting with the people in Badungar area falling under ward no. 44. A large number of people gathered and narrated their basic problems to her and sought her help in resolving of these.She was accompained by District Congress Committee (Urban) chief Prem Krishan Puri, Punjab Congress general secretary KK Sharma and Sanjeev Kumar Sharma.

Preneet further said that even as the Akalis were making taller claims as far as the development front was concerned, in Patiala the scene was totally different as the roads were in a very bad shape and the people were facing hardships.

Preneet called up the commissioner of the municipal corporation and brought the problems of the area to his notice. He assured her that he would look into the matter and do the needful. He gave an assurance to get the main road passing through Badungar repaired.
