Capt briefs CEC about deteriorating law and order situation in state

NEW DELHI/CHANDIGARH: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President, Capt Amarinder Singh on Friday met Chief Election Commissioner of India, Dr Nasim Zaidi and apprised him about worsening law and order situation in Punjab.
Capt also highlighted the issue of bogus votes being prepared by ruling Akali-BJP alliance and stated that “they have assigned this job to Aaganwari workers who are not even part time employees of government. As these workers are appointed by local Sarpanches they remain under their influence.”
While speaking on defamation suit that Daya Singh Kolianwali threatened to file after 10 days, Capt asked Kolianwali not to wait for 10 days and file criminal defamation case against him tomorrow only. Once again Capt said that its known even within Akali circles that Kolianwali is famous for taking bribes from people.
Meanwhile, Congress Legislature Party Chief, Charanjit Singh Channi said that Revenue Minister, Bikram Singh Majithia would be shown the place he deserves for his crimes and he should start preparing himself to face the anger of people. Channi also condemned continuance of day light murders in Punjab for which SAD BJP is responsible.
