PATHANKOT: At his ‘Coffee with Captain’ interaction with exservicemen here on Wednesday, Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh promised them toll-free road travel and jobs for the kin, if his party won the 2017 state elections.
He said on winning the election, that he would form an exservicemen’s commission with a separate office at his workplace. Captain said only loyal party workers would get poll ticket. Later, facing questions over the thrashing of Congress Seva Dal district president IS Gulati by a senior Congress leader in Dinanagar, he said it had happened before his visit and he would look into it. Over the ‘Udta Punjab’ controversy, he said everybody knew how serious was Punjab’s drug menace and who was behind it.
Over the alleged disproportionate assets of his son, he said the inquiry was on.
