Cong to conduct meeting for June 18 protest

BATHINDA: Gearing up preparations for proposed June 18 protest by Congress workers in Badal village to be led by Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Captain Amarinder Singh, the Bathinda district Congress has convened a meeting on June 10.

District Congress chief (rural) Narinder Singh Bhaleria said a meeting of party workers would be convened on June 10 in Bathinda in which they would chalk out plan for mobilising cadres for the protest. He said the meeting would be addressed by PPCC vice president Manpreet Singh Badal. Besides Manpreet, the meeting would be addressed by MLAs Kewal Singh Dhillon and Ajaib Singh Bhatti, and former MLAs Harmander Singh Jassi and Makhan Singh.

Punjab Congress chief has announced to stage protest in Badal village, native village of CM Parkash Singh Badal on alleged recruitment scam.
