Cong leaders say Udta Punjab depicts reality

Ludhiana : After watching the controversial movie ‘Udta Punjab’ in a city multiplex on Tuesday, several local Congress leaders said that the film shows the real picture of what is happening in the state.
These Congress leaders including Ludhiana Member of Parliament (MP) Ravneet Singh Bittu, several MLAs and office bearers of the party watched the movie in a city Multiplex on Tuesday. After watching the movie the leaders said that the movie is based on reality.
MP Ravneet Bittu and MLA Bharat Bhushan Ashu said that the drugs menace will end only after the Congress comes to power in state. Being the main Opposition party, the Congress will take up the drug issue on a priority-basis as the movie has shown true picture of Punjab on drugs, said MP Bittu and MLA Ashu.
Those who accompanied MP Bittu and MLA Ashu, include MLA Surinder Dawar, District Congress (DCC)(Urban) president Gurpreet Gogi, Hemraj Aggarwal, Youth Congress president Rajiv Raja, former MLA Jassi Khangura, Ishwarjot Cheema, Parvinder Lapran, Yogesh Handa, Harjinder Dhindsa, Goldy Sharma besides several others.
During the controversy over Censor Board not giving a clearance to the film, the Congress had supported the film and demanded to release the movie without any cuts.
Talking to Daily Post, MP Bittu said the ruling party raked the issue to ban the movie but in reality the movie has shown the actual picture of Punjab. However, the unnecessary abusive language is used in the dialogues but in the absence of proper guidance and jobs the youth are also behaving in a similar manner.
Meanwhile, the visitors at mall and the audience were surprised to see several VVIP guests turning up to watch the movie. The people also get the photos clicked with MP Bittu and others in the cinema hall.
