Will improve education, health facilities in Punjab, says Manpreet
MOGA: Claiming education and health facilities have completely deteriorated during Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) regime in Punjab, Congress leader Manpreet Singh Badal said that they will improve education and health facilities in the state on priority, if voted to power.
“These Badals (Sukhbir and Parkash Singh Badal) have made our Punjab’s brave youth illiterate and unemployed but once we come to power we will revive the education system even if we need to employ teachers from foreign countries,” said Manpreet, who is also in party’s poll manifesto draft committee.
Manpreet was here along with former MP Vijay Inder Singla in Nihal Singh Wala constituency to hold meeting with party workers and discuss the poll manifesto, which will be prepared till October month.
Singla said mere in a decade the Akali dal government had put the whole state into the prey of drugs.
“To improve the future of Punjab, our first priority will be to educate the youth by improving our education system,” he said. The elections to 117 Punjab assembly seats will be held in the early part of 2017. This election will be a three-way contest among SAD, Congress and AAP.
