AMRITSAR: Accusing the Punjab government of hatching a conspiracy to defame his party by linking it with the Quran sacrilege issue, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said Badals were playing such games foreseeing that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was coming to power in Punjab.

Kejriwal said it was unfortunate that the Punjab government stooped to such a low to show the AAP in bad light. “From the day Quran was found desecrated, the government maintained that VHP leader Vijay Kumar was the main accused, but on Saturday, AAP legislator was linked to it.

Badals did this because I was coming to Punjab.”

Surveys are giving us 90 to 100 seats in Punjab and this has made the Badals and BJP leaders nervous, he said.

“It is sad that they desecrated Quran to defame us. They slapped me and threw ink at me, but I want to warn them that AAP won’t tolerate sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib or Quran.” ‘COOKING UP CASE AGAINST MLA’ NEW DELHI: Rejecting the charge of its MLA’s involvement in the Malerkotla sacrilege, AAP Punjab in-charge Sanjay Singh hit out at the BJP-SAD alliance on Sunday saying the ruling dispensation in Punjab was “cooking up” cases.
