BATHINDA: The Congress party has decided to go for special third party audit of the working of SAD-BJP government, if voted to power in 2017.
Such exercise is going to be prominent element in Congress’s manifesto so as to expose alleged corrupt practices adopted while carrying out development works across the state.
Congress leader Manpreet Badal, manifesto draft committee’s convener, said the talks were already on between high command and state leadership to finalise the structure of incentivise based third party audit.
“The audit would scrutinise the development works especially carried out in Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal’s Lambi assembly segment and Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal’s Jalalabad,” Manpreet said. He claimed that in both these constituencies, the development works were carried out without taking adequate financial approvals and the norms were flouted at all levels.
