FARIDKOT: The Congress organised a workers’ meeting at a city hotel here on Sunday, where Manpreet Badal, Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon and Karan Brar, member of legislative assembly (MLA), Muktsar, addressed the workers.

Manpreet Badal said that the SAD-BJP alliance has ruined the state as the youth is under the shackles of drugs. Punjab was a leading state and now it is known as a drug hub.

Commenting on his uncle and CM Parkash Singh Badal, Manpreet said that he was responsible for shattering the image of Punjab and Punjabis. He alleged that ministers of the regime and officers were involved in drug trade and claimed that if the Congress formed the next government, then no one involved in the drug trade will be spared. He asked workers to meet people and garner their support.

Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon said that the Congress would hold meetings and rallies throughout the state. It will create awareness among the masses against the SAD-BJP coalition. Dhillon asserted that congress will sweep the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha elections and form the government.

Joginder Singh, MLA, Jaito, stated that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is a party of outsiders and opportunists and the people of Punjab will support Captain to make Punjab a leading state.

“Punjab’s youth is suffering from lack of opportunities and going through depression,” said Karan Brar, MLA, Muktsar.
