Patiala: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the SAD in connection with the burning issue concerning one of its CPS, Virsa Singh Valtoha. It urged Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal either to drop him immediately as CPS or be ready to face a state-level agitation on the issue as it hurt the sentiments of the Dalits.

President of the SC and ST wing of the party, Dev Mann made an announcement in this context while addressing mediapersons at Delhi Plaza on Sunday evening. Mann was accompanied by party’s district convener Balbir Singh and other leaders. He said that Valtoha passed this comment against the father of the Indian Constitution, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, while participating in a TV debate in Amritsar on Saturday. He said that the issue cropped up during a debate when one from the audience asked Valtoha that the Akalis were not living up to the teachings of the Gurbani. At this, Valtoha reacted otherwise and directly hit back at Dr B R Ambedkar by accusing him of fanning casteism in the country through reservation for different categories of Scheduled Castes.

He said that this accusations of Valtoha had exposed the anti-Dalit face of the ruling SAD.
