Congress will fulfil manifesto promises, says Preneet Kaur

BATHINDA/FARIDKOT: Patiala Congress MLA Preneet Kaur exhorted party workers to work for setting state free from rule of present SAD-BJP government in 2017 assembly polls.

Unlike the SAD-BJP and AAP the Congress will not indulge in making false promises in its poll manifesto and whatever party will promise will be implemented, she said while Addressing party workers of Bathinda (rural) assembly segment in Ghuda village as a part of ongoing assembly-segment wise campaign to boost morale of party workers.

She was accompanied by MLA Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, former MLAs Makhan Singh, Harminder Singh Jassi and Chiranji Lal Garg, and district Congress committee (rural) president Narinder Singh Bhaleria.

Before the party workers meet, Preneet also met protesting TET and ETT pass unemployed teachers at Jai Singh Wala village and alleged that the state government was resorting to inhuman tactic to curb the protest.

‘MAFIA FLOURISHING UNDER SAD RULE’

Punjab Congress vice-president Manpreet Badal in Faridkot said that mafias were flourishing in every sector under the patronage of the government.

In his address to party workers’ meeting at Kotkapura on Friday, he said state gets revenue of only `60 crore rupees from sand. However, people involved in illegal mining of sand earn more than `6,000 crore.
