Punjabis will show door to AAP, SAD-BJP: Cong leader Bhattal

LUDHIANA: Former Punjab chief minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal predicted that Congress will secure more than 90 seats in vidhan sabha and form the next government after winning the state assembly polls in 2017.

People of the state will show the door to SAD-BJP and Aam Aadmi Parti (AAP) as well as, she said here on Saturday.

“Congress party stands united under the leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh. Our party is the only thing that can save Punjab from its present instability” she said.

“The state finances have gone down, while the Badals and their relatives have multiplied their wealth. They have become richer while Punjab is starving. They have monopoly in transport, cable, liquor, sand, mining and entertainment businesses. Today there is absolute goonda raj in the state,” she said.

Senior party leader Kulwant Sidhu said that AAP was a group of rejected leaders who have found a platform for their politics.

He said, “Who is the Aam Aadmi (common man) in it? They are leaders who do not know even a single inch of the ground sentiments of the people of Punjab. They hurt the sentiments of the people while releasing their youth manifesto,” said Sidhu.
