Fatehgarh Sahib : Rajya Sabha member and former Punjab Congress chief Shamsher Singh Dullo on Thursday said he was against giving posts of new entrants in Congress. While addressing a political function at Bhari village near Khamano, where he was honoured by area Congressmen, Dullo said leaders of other political parties who had joined the Congress had been given posts in the party but he was against such practice. He said he had raised this issue with Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

Dullo said new entrants in the party should be made to stand in a queue before being given any major responsibility. “The party welcomes every new entrant, but he should gain experience before eyeing any prominent post,” Dullo said. He said workers who were associated with Congress for a long time should be given importance.
