Chandigarh : A day after Aam Aadmi Party’s manifesto committee chairman Kanwar Sandhu’s video about the impact of Navjot Singh Sidhu’s entry in the party created stir in political corridors, Sandhu on Thursday said that Sidhu would not be the CM candidate of the party as he was joining without any condition. Also changing stance from his video, Sandhu advocated Sidhu’s joining with a mention that that he would the AAP’s star campaigner and his entry would strengthen the Party’s campaign.

Talking to Daily Post over phone, Sandhu said that Sidhu would be holding a press conference in two-three days to make an official declaration about his AAP joining. About Amritsar MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu, Kanwar Sandhu said that she too must join the AAP but mentioned that nothing was confirmed yet.

Meanwhile, AAP’s state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur at Bathinda also declared that Navjot Sidhu would not be the party’s CM face. He, however, welcomed Sidhu’s speculated move of joining the AAP.

It is pertinent to mention that Navjot’s expected arrival in AAP has created ripples in the state politics.

In a spate event at Jalandhar, the AAP’s national leader Sanjay Singh claimed that party would win at least 100 seats in the coming Vidhan Sabha election.

He made these remarks while addressing a party workers’ rally at Giani Zail Singh Market in Rajpura. The rally was attended by large number of party workers.

On the sidelines of the rally when mediapersons asked questions on “rampant corruption” going on in the party over the distribution of party tickets, he avoided these.
