Fatehgarh Sahib:The Congress put up a united face during a meeting of party workers addressed by senior Congress leaders at Bassi Pathana on Saturday. Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Shamsher Singh Dullo was among the main organizers of the Bassi Pathana reserve constituency meeting which was addressed by former PPCC president HS Hanspal, Kapurthala MLA Rana Gurjit Singh and Bassi Pathana constituency incharge Lakhwinder Kaur Garcha. Leaders of Jat Mahasabha, including its district president Amritpal Singh Tiwana, also attended the meeting.
Speaking on this occasion, Dullo asked people not to repeat their ‘mistake’ of choosing a “wrong government”.
Rana Gurjit Singh said constituency-level meetings of workers were being held to moblise party workers. He said those who would not be able to get the party ticket would be adjusted on other plum posts after the Congress formed the government in the state, he added.
