Capt storms Sangat Mandi police station after Cong worker claims frame-u

SANGAT (BATHINDA): With a Congress worker breaking down in front of Captain Amarinder Singh during ‘Lokan Da Darbar’ programme, alleging that he has been framed in a false case, Punjab Congress chief stormed into Sangat police station to protest and inquire about the case.

During the programme, which is a part of ‘Halke Vich Captain’ campaign, at Jassi Bagh Wali, several party workers raised the similar complaints that they have been framed by Punjab police in false cases at behest of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) men. However, Baldev Singh a resident of Pathrala village broke down while complaining and said his land has been grabbed.

This prompted Captain Amarinder to leave the programme midway and went straight to police station in Sangat accompanied by Baldev and his daughter Harsimrat Kaur. Baldev Singh along with five others were booked under various section of the IPC on complaint of one Malkit Singh, an Akali worker.
