Chandigarh: Punjab Congress Legislature Party chief Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday asked the people of Punjab to understand the nefarious designs of the SAD-BJP to break its alliance on the issue of worst-ever law and order situation in the state to polarize this sensitive state.

Both these parties were working mutually on the common design to disturb the peace of the state and then break the alliance then go for the mandate alone. The SAD had a well-planned design to disturb the peace of the state, so that it was able to play communal card in the coming vidhan sabha elections. The CLP leader also wrote a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner, updating him on the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab. He also categorically stated that state police should not be involved in any kind of election duty as it was just working as a tool of SAD-BJP combine. He requested CEC that central forces should be deployed in order to have fair and free elections in the state.

“The murderous attack on state RSS leader Brig(retd) Jagdish Gagneja on a busy road in Jalandhar was not an ordinary crime. It has very serious ramifications. There is a palpable pattern and it is alarming,” he pointed out.
