New Delhi : Member of Parliament from Ludhiana Ravneet Singh Bittu today asked the Union Government to ensure that peace was maintained in Punjab. Speaking during the Zero Hour in Parliament, Bittu cited the repeated desecrations of Guru Granth Sahib and the Quran and the targeted attack on RSS leader Brig Jagdish Gagneja (retd) to buttress his argument on the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. The acts of violence and the attempts to fan trouble have been puzzling, the MP said, while asking for additional paramilitary forces in the state.
