Claims SAD manipulated police recruitment dope test results
Nawanshahr : Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh on Friday asked the Badal government to place in public domain any information it had on radical elements’ funding the AAP in the state as the people had a right to be privy to all such information. Captain said this in response to a recent statement by Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal that radical elements were funding the party (AAP).
The PPCC president further castigated the Badal government for attributing recent incidents of disturbances in the state to outside agencies like ISI. “This is all nonsense. What about 52 gangs operating in the state? Has the RSS vice-chief in Punjab been shot at by ISI?” he asked while simultaneously bringing in Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s name saying that “Akalis are doing in Punjab what Kejriwal is doing in Delhi. He (Kejriwal) is blaming either Delhi’s Lt Governor or Prime Minister Narendra Modi for all his failures”.
Capt, who was talking to the mediapersons on the sidelines of his “Halqe Vich Captain” programme here, further accused the Badal government of polarizing people on religious lines ahead of elections in Punjab. “As Akalis think such polarization suits them during polls, they always indulge in such anti-social and anti-national activities before polls without realizing how dangerous and disastrous it could turn out be,” said the Congress chief, adding that, “ there is a definite pattern in the incidents beginning from the desecration of holy book in Bargadi to the recent attack on RSS leader”.
The PPCC chief did not agree with the results of dope test in the ongoing recruitment in police, saying that SAD was capable of twisting and manipulating the data with the help of its official machinery. “Who is getting the dope test done? Who are releasing the results and who will gain from such results? It is all a fraud and a drama,” he said, maintaining that drug addiction among state’s youth was on all time high.
The PPCC chief further held SGPC responsible for repeated attacks on Sikhs in foreign countries as it (SGPC) failed in its duty in educating the foreigners that Sikhs were entirely separate and different from ISIS or Taliban as a race.
