CHANDIGARH: Punjab Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh has said the acquittal of drug lord Jagdish Bhola in a case of heroin smuggling was total miscarriage of justice.
“The Congress government will reopen the case against Bhola after coming to power,” he said on Saturday. “It’s not only the matter of punishing Bhola, but providing justice to youth who died of drugs that were and supplied by him”, said Captain.
“If Bhola is innocent, nobody on earth can be guilty then,” he added. Expressing anger over Bhola’s acquittal, Captain said he was thoroughly disappointed over the way Punjab Police handled Bhola’s case and virtually facilitated his acquittal.
