Jalandhar: Punjab Congress Committee chief Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday denied that there was any deal between Congress and Navjot Singh Sidhu who had quit BJP recently. Asked about the deal between Sidhu and AAP, he asked the media to ask the question to these two parties only as he did not know why their deal had not matured.
He also visited the family of Subedar Ratan Singh Veer Chakra in Sultanpur Lodhi late on Thursday. Subedar Ratan Singh had died some days back in his Tibba village. Captain met his son Gurpal Singh Fauji, daughters Parkash Kaur and Santosh Kaur. He admonished the state government for having ignored the family on Subedar’s death. Captain Amarinder also met the media at Subedar’s house and talked to them on some issues. He said that he knew Subedar Ratan Singh personally and met him twice.
