BILGA (JALANDHAR): Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann doesn’t agree with Aam Aadmi Party Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur who had said that a ‘sting’ (HT, August 24), which purportedly shows him accepting cash, was carried out by a man close to two senior leaders of his own party.
He also termed as unfortunate Chhotepur’s statement that “there is no account for funding of the AAP in Punjab”.
"Our leader Raghav Chadha is our national treasurer who keeps record of every penny that the party receives. These allegations are unfortunate," Mann said.
Mann took a dig at Chhotepur over latter’s statement that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was not giving him time to meet for 15 days.
"AAP’s national convener is the most accessible head of any party in the country. If Chhotepur is still saying this, ‘unnu thoda zor hor lana chahida (he should try harder)," Mann said.
He was talking to the media during his visit to this village on Wednesday.
Mann also advised Chhotepur not to discuss internal issues with the media. AAM AADMI PARTY TRYING TO OUST ‘CLEAN’ CHHOTEPUR: CAPTAIN SUNAM: Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder charged Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal with trying to get rid of AAP’s state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur to pave the way for his own entry into Punjab. “Chhotepur has an unblemished record of over 40 years in public life,” he said. AAP IS PARTY OF LOOTERS: SUKHBIR AMLOH: Reacting to the ‘sting’ on Chhotepur, deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said this proved that Aam Aadmi Party was a “party of looters”. He urged people to be cautious of the false promises of AAP.
Terming AAP a bunch of naxalites, deputy CM said these people were out to vitiate the atmosphere in the state.
