MP Bittu inaugurates roads in Gill area

LUDHIANA: Member of parliament from Ludhiana Ravneet Singh Bittu with senior Congress leader Malkiat Singh Dakha on Thursday laid the foundation stones of two roads falling under Gill assembly segment that will be constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) scheme.

ROAD FROM BUTHARI TO GOPALPUR VILLAGE VIA KHATRA, RURKA AND NANGAL VILLAGES TO BE CONSTRUCTED AT COST OF `8.93 CRORE

Road from Buthari to Gopalpur village via Khatra, Rurka and Nangal villages would be constructed with the cost of `8.93 crore, while the road from Dehlon to Pakhowal village via Majri and Nangal villages will cost `8.64 crore.

Bittu said to ensure seamless travel and transportation of goods, “we are committed to provide the best infrastructure to the people of Ludhiana. We are working on the widening of the existing roads and in order to prevent loss of precious young lives in road accidents, our first priority is to remove the bottlenecks on our roads,” he said.

He added that the foundation stones of the other roads sanctioned under PMGSY in the Ludhiana Lok Sabha constituency would be laid soon.
