CHANDIGARH: Claiming that deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal is trying to create terror in Punjab by letting his goons out on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) volunteers, which could be evident from an attack on AAP volunteer Baljinder Singh Khalsa by municipal councillor of SAD Santam Singh Satta at Bagha Purana, AAP on Tuesday said the party has taken a serious note of it.

Addressing a press conference here, head of the Legal Cell, Himmat Singh Shergil and general secretary of farmers’ wing of the party, Ahbab Singh Grewal condemned the attack and said people of Punjab will not bow down to “SAD Terrorism” and will give them a befitting reply in the coming elections in 2017. AAP leaders said massive response to Bhagapurana rally of AAP has left Akalis frustrated.

Narrating the incident of attack on Khalsa, Shergil said that he (Khalsa) was attacked by Akali goons, led by MC Satta with armed weapons. “Even the police did not stop Akalis goons,” Shergil said, adding that the police have failed to book the attackers under Section 307, 326 and 450 of the IPC.
