Now, state leaders to board ‘Punjab Congress Express’ for campaign

Jalandhar:After reaching out to the voters through different programmes, state Congress leaders were all set to board a special ‘Punjab Congress Express’ bus to reach out to the people under its upcoming ‘Congress liao, Punjab bachao campaign’.
State Congress president Capt Amarinder Singh would flag off the buses from PPCC Chandigarh on September 24. On September 26, the execution of the programme would be done. The state Congress has hired 13 buses which would cover 13 Lok Sabha constituencies of Punjab.
Under this programme, as many as 40 Congress leaders including Sunil Jakhar, Preneet Kaur, Rajinder Kaur Bhattal among others would be travelling across the election-bound state of Punjab to reach out to the people.
Sources maintained that the leaders would travel in a group of three to four in a specially-designed mini bus named “Punjab Congress Express,” where they would hold ‘nukkad meetings.’
It was learnt that Sangrur team would be lead by senior Congress leader Rajinder Kaur Bhattal while Preneet Kaur would lead Patiala, MP Ravneet Singh Bittu would lead Ludhiana and Chaudhary Santokh Singh would lead the leaders in Jalandhar among the 13 teams formed as per the Lok Sabha constituencies.
