Bathinda : Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee vice-president Manpreet Singh Badal today demanded that the Election Commission should impose a life ban on candidates whose supporters are caught distributing liquor or money among voters.

Backing PPCC chief Capt Amarinder Singh’s demand for the use of EVMs from other states, Manpreet said the voting machines which issued a receipt to the voters should be used in the Punjab elections. Manpreet announced that along with the main manifesto, the party would also launch sub-manifestos for each of the 117 constituencies. He said these sub-manifestos would address issues specific to the constituency.
