Fatehgarh Sahib : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament from Sangrur Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday addressed an impressive gathering of people of Amloh constituency of district Fatehgarh Sahib.

In his address, he mostly target Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal, Cabinet Minister Bikram Singh Majithia and PPCC president Capt Amarinder Singh.

Addressing the rally in favour of AAP candidate from Amloh Gurpreet Singh Bhatti, Mann said that the people of the state had made up their mind to wipe out the SAD-BJP alliance from the state’s political scene and this fact was not going down well with those in power.

Taking a dig at Badals and Majithia, Mann said they were trying to downplay the AAP effect in the state, but the fact remains that thousands of people were turning up at AAP rallies on their own, which vindicated its popularity. Mann said that since AAP was the voice of the common man, it could not be subdued with such menial and undemocratic acts. It will rather strengthen all the more in the coming days as people are literally fed up of the existing government and are impatient to show them the door as soon as possible.

He said both traditional parties (SAD and Congress) were hand in glove and they had been taking people of Punjab for granted. “Now, the time has come they should be given the taste of their own medicine. They have virtually thrown the Punjab youth into drugs, who were struggling in the absence of job opportunities.”
