Congress leader Charanjit Channi reaches Ludhiana, attacks AAP

LUDHIANA: Congress Legislature Party chief and the leader of the opposition Charanjit Singh Channi on Wednesday said Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has turned insecure with the growing popularity of Congress in the state.

He said more than insecurity, party convener Arvind Kejriwal did not trust the Punjabis and it was for this reason that he had deployed army of outsiders as in-charge of organisational affairs. “It was only after revolt within its ranks that outsiders had been withdrawn,”said Channi.

He said this on the second day of his week-long ‘Jawani Sambhal Yatra’ that started from Chamkaur Sahib and reached Ludhiana on Wednesday. The rally ecrisscrossed through all the urban constituencies.

Addressing the media Channi targeted AAP saying it was suffering from utter confusion going by the contradictory statements of its leaders. He said the CM Parkash Singh Badal and his deputy Sukhbir Singh Badal had already been deserted by the people who were determined to dump these two parties.
