Ludhiana : Congress Legislature Party chief and Leader of the Opposition in Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi said Badals had been “rejected” by the people of the state and AAP seemed to be “suffering from confusion” as its leaders had been giving contradictory statements.

He reached here with hundreds of cyclists as part of a Jawani Sambhal Yatra to celebrate the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and said he was an idol for the youth of Punjab.

”AAP leaders are giving contradictory statements regarding joining hands with Navjot Singh Sidhu’s Awaaz-e-Punjab. It is a sign of the ground slipping from under the party’s feet,” he said. He said AAP lacked its organisational set-up having only a state convener and it was only now that a person had been appointed general secretary as party convener Arvind Kejriwal did not trust Punjabis. This is the reason that he had deployed an army of outsiders to look after the organisational affairs, he added.
