Patiala : Punjabi community settled in the UK was looking forward to Capt Amarinder Singh to lead Punjab back to glory and prosperity, said Patiala MLA and former MoS Preneet Kaur who is currently visiting the United Kingdom as part of the Congress campaign. Preneet Kaur was extended a warm welcome on her arrival London by the leading lights of the Punjabi community settled there. She met a large number of Punjabi families and sought their participation in the political process in Punjab and thereby contribute towards the all-round development of the state.

On Saturday, she attended a dinner in the House of Commons hosted in her honour by Varinder Sharma, MP, where she interacted with a selected gathering of prominent Punjabi settlers. In Coventry, she addressed an impressive gathering of Punjab diaspora who accordingly to her “were genuinely concerned about the future of the drug-ravaged Punjab.” “You are lucky to have been settled abroad where you have adjusted yourself to a comfortable and disciplined life. Your relations and friends in Punjab wish to emulate you,” she said.
