Jalandhar : Three months after Navjot Singh Sidhu quit BJP, MoS Vijay Sampla for the first time lashed out at the Sidhu couple by quoting a Punjabi adage- ‘Majh (Buffalo) bech ke Ghodi (Mare) lai andi, dudh peeno gaye, lidh chakni payi’.

Sampla stated in his Facebook post that sometimes, when a child is loved and pampered overly, he starts thinking that he is even bigger than the family. “BJP made Sidhu MP thrice, his wife became an MLA and CPS on BJP ticket, he was given first preference among the senior BJP leaders in the party and made to sit in the front row. What didn’t the BJP offer the Sidhu couple?” Sampla questioned.

MP stated, “It seems that Sidhu also got this feeling of being a towering person than the party.” Sampla further shared on Facebook that history bears testimony to the fact that arrogance and vanity destroyed everybody.

“In the urge to gain something more, Sidhu ended up losing even little that he had! What has Sidhu gained after leaving his house (BJP)? He is hopping from one party to other but what has he gained? Sidhu has been refused from one door to other and sadly he is not able to understand anything”, he added.

Sampla maintained that even after meting out such treatment to BJP, he still prays before the almighty to settle Sidhu’s political career. “The way Sidhu is desperate to join some party, it is clear that he can recite couplets and jokes to Punjabis but do not want to do anything for Punjab. He left his ‘principles’, the day he left BJP,” he added.
