Speaking on the occasion, Warring said that he was approaching the officers concerned to ensure farmers get rid of the menace but nothing tangible could be witnessed till date. He also claimed that the poor operation forced the farmers to sit in mandis even on Diwali night to safeguard their crops.
While divulging details, he mentioned the major problem being reported from Peori and Kotli villages.
The SDM Anand Sagar Sharma met the protesters and tried to pacify them with assurance to redress the issue but the agitators didn’t pay heed to his words, demanding the implementation of words.
