Chandigarh : With talks between Awaaz-e-Punjab and AAP having reportedly failed over seat-sharing, Navjot Sidhu is warming up to Sucha Singh Chhotepur's Apna Punjab Party (APP) though his front will continue to hold talks with the Congress. Sidhu's confidant Pargat Singh too has had held talks with Chhotepur, say sources.

Sidhu, it is learnt, had a dinner meeting with Congress strategist Prashant Kishor last week but there was no headway. “Our talks have hit a dead-end,” said a senior AAP leader. "Sidhu was demanding 30 seats. We had offered them five," he said.

Simarjit Singh Bains blamed AAP's "stubborn" leaders for the failure of talks. “They are not aware of the ground reality and are no longer the popular choice," he claimed. He denied seeking seats from either AAP or the Congress. "There is no truth in such reports. We only want an alliance of like-minded persons to prevent a Badal or Capt-led government,” he said. He claimed they were close to a political arrangement with some leaders.
