The front has on board Sumit Bhullar-led Lok Punjab Front, Manjit Singh-led Democratic Swaraj Party, Ravi Inder Singhled Akhand Akali Dal, Resham Singh-led Bahujan Sangharsh Dal, Jagdev Singh-led volunteers and Sucha Singh Chhotepur’s Aapna Punjab Party (APP).

The front will work out a common minimum programme, and an eight-member committee has been formed for the purpose.

However, the front was yet to announce the number of constituencies it will contest polls from.

Three retired IAS officers, RR Bhardwaj, Karamjit Singh Sra and Gurtej Singh, were also present in the meeting.

“The Front has decided to approach Navjot Singh Sidhuled Awaaz-e-Punjab forum and the Left parties to explore possibilities for an poll alliance,” Gandhi told HT.
