Navjot should join Congress without wasting time: Bhattal

Ludhiana : Commenting over cricketer turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu joining Congress party, former Chief Minister and senior party leader Rajinder kaur Bhattal said that Sidhu is still indescive which is not good for him. She said that Sidhu is welcomed in the party and he should join Congress without losing more time.

Bhattal added that Sidhu has Congress DNA as his father was also Congress leader and all the secular forces like him can come into party fold.

On the election of new president of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Kirpal Singh Badungar, Bhattal said that election of SGPC is not democratic and the name was announced by Badal family.

Speaking about AAP party, she quipped that AAP stands no chance in Punjab. They said that manifesto of AAP is merely focusing on day-dreaming and lofty promises. The promise of 25 lakh jobs made by AAP is a great joke as party has not given any blueprint for the same, said Bhattal.

Sidhu not taking my calls: Manpreet

Vice president of Congress Party Manpreet Singh Badal said that Navjot Singh Sidhu is looking for the best deal but he should join Congress for the betterment of Punjab. Badal said that he has tried to approach Sidhu but he is not taking his phone calls. He further said that election manifesto is on last stage and the draft will be submitted to party high command.
