Jalandhar : Even as the Awaaz-e-Punjab (AeP) has fallen apart with the Bains brothers announcing an alliance with AAP today, Jalandhar Cantonment MLA Pargat Singh ruled out the chance of following the Bains brothers and joining AAP.

“Our talks with AAP are over now,” he said as he reached the city this evening.

Pargat Singh, who has resigned from the Vidhan Sabha, is yet to declare his future course of action.

Sources in the Congress maintain that Pargat could join the party in Delhi in the next few days when PPCC chief Capt Amarinder Singh would be in the national capital. However, Pargat said: “Nothing is final yet. I am yet to meet Navjot Sidhu, who is currently busy with his shooting schedule in Mumbai. I could only talk to him on the phone after the Bains brothers’ alliance with AAP.”

He said the Bains brothers did not share with him that they were leaving AeP. “But I have no regrets. In fact, being a player, I have never kept any regrets as I have won and lost many matches in my sports career too. I know that they have spoken against the Congress today but that’s their sweet will and they are free to say anything. I just wish them luck in their future course,” he said.
