Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said he was not afraid of the defamation case filed by Punjab revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia against him over his allegations regarding the minister’s role in drug trafficking in the state.
Addressing a party rally here, Kejriwal said he had to appear in a court every month, but he was not perturbed by such cases.
The AAP leader said he had challenged Majithia to put him behind the bars within six months or else he would send Majithia in jail if AAP comes to power in Punjab.
He said the AAP has prepared a blueprint to bring the state out of the mess it is in. The party’s priority, he said, would be to eradicate the twin menace of drugs and corruption, besides waiving loans of farmers.
AAP circle in-charge on hunger strike
Meanwhile, AAP circle in-charge Rajinder Singh sat on a hunger strike, along with his supporters, near the venue of the rally to protest against allotment of party ticket to Dr Charanjit Singh from Chamkaur Sahib. He said Charanjit was a turncoat who had left the Congress and joined the AAP a few months ago.
