SIRHIND: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has lost its popularity in Punjab, said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state chief Vijay Sampla here on Sunday.
“Initially this party (AAP) flew like a balloon in the air, but its own leaders punctured it in a very short span of time,” said Sampla, who was in Sirhind to meet party workers. Speaking on the Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) canal issue, he said the BJP was in favour of farmers of Punjab.
Although the BJP national leadership has not commented on the issue yet, Sampla said he will stand by the side of farmers in Punjab.
